Superb!
The room was really kept up to standard. The hotel staff was really helpful at all times . They helped with everything and went out of their bounds to help us. THE view from the roof top is astonishing. excellent location!

Extremely friendly, centrally located and ideal accommodation
I have nothing but positive to say about this place and the wonderful people who run it. First impressions last and in this case they impressed me greatly! Our first encounter was when I arrived (damsel in distress mode) having realised I had booked one night instead of two. They instantly came to my rescue and found me a room which meant I didn’t have to move the second night. In fact, they had remembered me from a previous night when I visited the adjoining restaurant to the hotel!
Room was perfect, clean with small balcony adding lovely atmosphere. Sunroof terrace has beautiful views of Valletta and very relaxing. Centrally located which makes sightseeing/resting so convenient. Staff friendly and sincere.

My husband and I visited Malta last weekend and stayed at De Vilhena Boutique Hotel. We did not regret any bit of it as everything about the hotel and the staff was incredible. The hotel was ideally located in Valetta within a few steps to major restaurants/pubs, St. John’s cathedral, shops, Upper Barraka Gardens…etc. The staff and particularly Daniel were extremely helpful and friendly. Daniel took his time to help us properly plan our 2-day stay to be able to get the most of it, and we weren’t disappointed.

Perfect location and helpful, friendly staff
We ( couple) just spent 6 nights at this small but lovely hotel in the heart of the old part of Valletta, and an easy 10 minute walk to the bus station from where you can reach all towns in Malta.
Everything is new, room was spacious and fitted with quality linen, very comfortable bed, a coffee maker and kettle. The bathroom was huge, and obviously suitable for wheelchair access. The small balcony was a nice addition though it was too hot to really make use of it. Breakfast ( included) was served in the pizzeria next door and there was an excellent choice of cereals, fruits, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, cold meats, smoked salmon and breads.
Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Special mention of Irma (reception) and Jelenor (breakfast), and Daniel (manager) for excellent customer service. The roof top terrace, still a work in progress, was available to use and we enjoyed taking a drink up there in the evening and admiring the big view of Valletta. There are countless eateries outside and within a couple of minutes walk of the Hôtel, providing an excellent choice for dining. We loved our stay and would heartily recommend it as a base for exploring beautiful Malta.

This is why: Its in the middle of Valletta, and close to everything, The staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. They where in the reception 24/7 to answer our questions and help us arrange taxi and everything else we needed., The rooms are big, clean and fresh., The AC worked perfectly. Usually ACs in hotels dont work that well, but this one kept us cold and nice., The wifi was free, fast and worked perfect., You could connect your phone or tablet to the TV (via wifi) to watch movies, news from your home country or whatever you wanted to see., The view from the rooftop is amazing.
I highly recommend this hotel!

Amazing location and a very pleasant stay!
My boyfriend and I visited Malta for his birthday and this is the hotel we settled on. I contacted the hotel prior to the trip to see if anything can be arranged to make his stay a little bit more special. Response rate was amazing and I received good news saying they have upgraded our room as a good will gesture instantly.
Location of the hotel is in the center of Valletta and is very convenient for us to tour around the city or other parts of Malta via the main bus station. Upon arrival we were gifted with some cakes for my boyfriend’s birthday which was a very sweet touch. Room as well as the hall way is in new condition and are clean, exactly as shown in the photos. Smart TV has Youtube and Spotify which is very handy for when we want to have a night in.
A remark of the stay was definitely the staffing – Danny from Reception has been exceptionally helpful in helping us with getting around Malta and giving us tips. Leonardo assists us with breakfast every morning and we had pleasant talks with him too. In general the staff are very friendly and welcoming and we never felt like we couldn’t approach anyone with for help. If you are looking to visit Malta I would highly recommend this hotel.
